De-Stressing is definitely the best medicine in my opinion. Being able to just sit down and focus on yourself and not have to worry about everything that is going on in your life at the moment is something that you should try to do at least once a week. Your life may become hectic with work, school, or even relationships for that matter, but taking a second and putting your life on pause can really help you mentally. You do not want your head swarming with so many tasks and thoughts because it can cloud your judgment and make you feel a little disconnected from society.

You want to focus more on yourself and not worry too much about the thinks that are going on around you because if you get too caught up in the things going on around you, there will be no time for you to focus on yourself and you will neglect your needs. You should come first before anyone or anything else, you are the priority and if you need to take that mental break, TAKE IT, do not let anyone tell you otherwise. From personal experience, I have had a lot of things go on in the last year and its been super crazy especially since the semester is coming to a close. Having to deal with those late assignments, working seven days a week, and having to deal with a lot of personal issues, sometimes it just gets too much and I have to allow myself that mental day or two to get my life back on track. Especially working retail, you do not want to go into your job not feeling one hundred percent and have it rub off on your co workers or even the customers.

Some helpful tips that I would suggest doing is just sitting down for maybe an hour one day and dumping out all that you need to do for the week in one shot and then don’t think about it for a couple of hours or even a day if you can. And then you can revisit that and organize all that you had written down and make yourself a plan that will give you the least amount of stress because trying to get stuff done while you are stressed is definitely not a healthy harmony. Make sure that you are in the right state of mind and DO NOT overwork yourself because it is never a good outcome and can even make things worse when it comes to your mental stability.
