Practice makes perfect! Don’t be afraid to write a little snippet or a chapter for a story! Its always better to be fresh while writing, you don’t want to look at a piece of paper and not know what to write!

2. Don’t be lazy!

When writing, don’t just throw random words on a piece of paper. Try to form a plot and even if it is loose, you can always add to it to make it better!

3. Don’t write about something just because its popular.

Write about something that makes you feel good while writing it. Don’t write about something just for the fame because everyone else is writing it. It is obvious to readers that your heart isn’t in the writing through your story. You want to write something that you would enjoy reading as much as your readers will!

4. Stay focused.

Staying focuses and determined on your writing is the most important thing that a writer can use to their advantage. Being completely devoted to your story and writing how you want it to play out is very important. Don’t deviate from your plot! Make it the best that it can be and get rid of all distractions!
5. Don’t write to get published.

Do not just write a random or underdeveloped story just to get published! That doesn’t help you in the long run. If you story is not that good and is not different from all of the other books that are out there, you will never get published and the publisher will not even suggest giving it out to readers if you plot isn’t worth it.
